Paper aeroplane production

Instructors can download a PDF of this experiment. The experiment replicates the manufacturing of an output using some inputs, and illustrates how diminishing returns on production arise, which is covered in Unit 1 and Unit 2 of The Economy 2.0: Microeconomics (the Malthusian model) and Unit 2 and Unit 3 of The Economy 1.0.

The experiment described is based on Experiment 9 in Theodore C. Bergstrom and John H. Miller (1999) ‘Experiments with Economics Principles’.

Instructors can download a PDF of this experiment. The experiment can be used to introduce the topic of efficiency wages, which is covered in Unit 6 of The Economy 2.0: Microeconomics and Unit 6 of The Economy 1.0.
